
Before joining the ChIR program you must be aware of the costs involved. These include not only the Participation Costs but also the costs of living and traveling in Europe.
Participation Fees already cover the enrolment and tuition costs at all the partner universities.
Access to the ChIRS learning platform and to study materials in electronic (pdf) form.
The costs of issuing of a certificate of achievement by the end of the 1st year.
Access to all campus facilities of the universities in the consortium, including wireless internet access in the campus, computing facilities, library, laboratories; student canteens, etc.
The costs of the extended Erasmus Mundus health insurance are already covered.
The costs of issuing the ChIRS Joint Diploma and the Joint Diploma Supplement are already covered.
Access to examinations of all course units in the individual study plan.
Access to the Annual ChIRS Symposium.
Support for non-EU international students (obtaining study visa, finding accommodation, etc)
Travel costs, including costs of mandatory mobility within countries of the consortium;
Costs of printing study materials;
Personal computer or other personal informatics equipment.
Food, accommodation or any type of living costs;
Cost of printing evaluation materials, including the final research thesis;
Value of total participation costs for the 24 month programme:
Nationals of any of the 27 countries of the European Union
€ 2 250 / semestre
Total value of the 24 month programme: € 9 000
Nationals of all other countries in the World
€ 4 500 / semestre
Total value of the 24 month programme: € 18 000
All students organize and finance their own accommodation, living, visa and travel costs. Make sure to prepare a good budget before starting.
Please ensure that you take into account all the travelling and the living costs that the program entails.
Remember, it's an International Master and there is a lot of travelling involved!
The cost of living differs from country to country. You may use the living cost tool to compare living costs in the cities of the consortium with the living costs in your home place.
