When selecting candidates for the Main List of Erasmus Mundus candidates there can be not more than two candidates from the same nationality in the Main Lists.
If there are more than 2, the third (fourth, etc.) candidate from country “X” will have to be placed on the reserve list even if his/her merits are higher than the following candidate on the ranking list.
If a consortium cannot fill in the quota of available scholarships because of the geographical balance constraint (i.e. not sufficient candidates available), it can exceptionally add more than two candidates from the same nationality in the main list, but the Agency reserves the right to remove these students from the main list during the selection process.
