Erasmus Mundus applicants are divided into two Erasmus Mundus Student Categories: Category A and Category B.

– Category A applicants come from a Third Country and were not residents nor have carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in one of these countries.

– Category B applicants do not fulfil the Category A criteria defined above.
